MISSION STATEMENT

Florida Home Furnishings Representatives Association

The mission of the FHFRA is to function as a professional organization that presents a forum where   pertinent issues can be addressed, while providing a nourishing environment for it's members, and is committed to education of the membership as well as the customers they serve.  FHFRA strives to serve as a professional organization that endorses ethical business behavior, and stands as a model of social conscientiousness, as well as an organization that endeavors to be proactive, fair, just and equitable at all times.

 

CODE OF ETHICS

Create and foster a spirit of mutual respect and esteem among fellow members of FHFRA, manufacturers and customers within the home furnishings industry.

Understand that I am a true professional, with full loyalty to the factories I represent, and have full and utmost confidence in their products.  I must be faithful to my customers and strive to earn their respectably sound ethical business practices.

Inform and educate the home furnishings industry as to the advantages of doing business through FHFRA sales representatives.

Promote the continued growth of members and the improvement of their sales and management abilities.

In furtherance of these objectives, FHFRA develops and participates in programs and activities for home furnishings sales representatives designed to elevate ethical standards, improve business operations and provide more efficient service to manufacturers, customers and the industry at large.  To implement these goals, all members are expected to:

  1. Represent only those lines that he or she can effectively market and sell.

  2. Maintain independence, integrity and objectively in dealing with customers and manufacturers.

  3. Make known his or her abilities, skill, knowledge and successful record to all segments of the industry.

  4. Refrain from interfering or encouraging a termination or modification of a relationship between a factory and its current representatives.

  5. Strive for excellence in product knowledge and in the quality of professional service and sales work.

  6. Build a reputation of fairness in dealings with manufacturers and customers.

  7. Maintain the highest level of conduct in interpersonal relationships which will enhance the individual's pride and self-respect.

  8. Dedicate and pledge to foster and promote friendliness and constructive, profitable relationships among colleagues, principals and customers . . . and further, to contribute, through individual efforts and professional activities, a significant personal energy toward the home furnishings industry and the status of the professional representative.
